- Your potato companion's name

- What you're going through (topics you select)

- Your preferred support style

- Messages you send in the chat

- Device push notification token (to send you morning check-ins)

- App usage data (message count for free tier limits)

Information we do NOT collect:

- Your precise location or GPS data — only the city name you type

- Your contacts, photos, or any other device data

- Payment details — all purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

- Personalize your potato companion's responses and tone

- Send you daily morning check-in notifications (if enabled)

- Enforce the free tier message limit and manage premium access

- Improve the app experience

3. AI & Third-Party Processing

Emotional Support Potato is powered by Claude AI, developed by Anthropic. When you send a message, it is sent securely to our backend server, which then communicates with Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. We do not store your chat messages on our servers. Messages are stored locally on your device only.

4. Data Storage

Your profile information (name, city, support style, potato name) is stored securely in our database provided by Supabase, hosted in the EU. Chat messages are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

5. Push Notifications

If you enable daily notifications, your device push token is stored in our database solely for the purpose of sending you your morning check-in message. You can disable notifications at any time from the app's Settings screen or your device settings.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

7. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your profile data from our database. Local data on your device is cleared when you log out or uninstall the app.

Emotional Support Potato is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
